  Acknowledgements of eGenome contributors

We would like to acknowledge the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for hosting the current web site. For the graphical views, we are grateful to Mapview creator Laurie Kramer for insights into the applet and the Genome Database for allowing Mapview to be modified for use as Chromoscape in this project. We gratefully acknowledge the Human Genome Centers and public databases for access to unpublished genomic data and Michael James for the skeletal marker RH scores. Also, we would like to thank our numerous collaborators and end users who have viewed portions of this site and given their valuable feedback. eGenome itself could not have been created without insight, help, and data from many members of the chromosome 1 and human genome mapping communities. This work is supported in part by NIH grants MH60240, HG01691, and HG00008. Please direct comments to: .

  How to acknowledge eGenome

eGenome data releases do not themselves constitute scientific publication, but are provided to scientists on a just-in-time basis to assist with gene- and disease locus-oriented investigations. The authors of eGenome ask that users appropriately acknowledge the project by mentioning the website address (eGenome: http://genome.chop.edu) in published material, and/or by referencing this manuscript :

White PS, Sulman EP, Porter CJ, Matise TC: A comprehensive view of human chromosome 1. Genome Res, 9: 978-88, 1999.

For projects aimed at large-scale analysis of entire chromosomes or genomes, we request that use of the data be on a collaborative basis.
